Maryam Lasisi Mustapha is a Lecturer 1 at the Department of Mass Communication, Faculty of Communication and Information Sciences, University of Ilorin. Nigeria.
She is currently teaching Mass Communication at the Department of Mass Communication, University of Ilorin, with research interests in new and social media, media effects, and corporate communication.
Maryam has authored and co-authored over a dozen papers in local and foreign journals and presented papers at several conferences. She has equally served in various roles in the Department of Mass Communication, including Chairman, Welfare Committee, Secretary, Department’s Academic Board, Level Advisor as well as Mentor to several students.
A consummate academic, Maryam is a member of Learned and Professional Societies such as the African Council for Communication Education (ACCE), the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) Association of Communication Scholars & Professionals of Nigeria (ACSPN), and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
